Terms of Service
Last updated 25 October 2026
1. Who these terms are with
Jatzo is a trading name of Jatzo Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17467782, whose registered office is Portland House, Belmont Business Park, Belmont, Durham, DH1 1TW. These terms are an agreement between you and Jatzo Ltd.
They apply when you create an account, use the service or buy a plan. The purchase page links to this document, and buying a plan confirms that you accept it.
If your organisation has signed a separate agreement or order with us, that comes first wherever it says something different. Our Privacy Notice covers the personal information we hold as controller. Where we handle a business customer's message content on its instructions, the data processing agreement between us governs that, and on data protection it comes first.
2. What the service does
Jatzo provides automated email analysis, supporting findings, optional threat-intelligence checks and educational courses. Available features depend on your plan and the service configuration. References to planned tools, integrations or business services are a roadmap, not a promise that they are currently available.
3. The final choice is yours
Results are advisory information based on the supplied content and evidence available at the time. Jatzo may miss a threat, flag a genuine message, return incomplete results or be unable to inspect an input. A low score does not mean safe; a high score does not conclusively establish wrongdoing.
You decide whether to reply, click, download, pay, share information, install software or grant access. Independently verify important requests through a contact method you already trust. Do not use Jatzo as your only safeguard or as a replacement for account protection, backups, workplace procedures or professional investigation. Do not test a suspicious file by opening it yourself.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not accept responsibility for the decisions you independently make or for third-party fraud merely because you used Jatzo. This does not remove responsibility for our own breach of contract, failure to exercise legally required care or other liability the law places on us.
4. Uploads and isolation
Supported file parsing takes place in a restricted worker. Isolation reduces risk; it cannot promise that every exploit, malicious file or service failure will be contained. It does not certify a file as malware-free or safe for your device. Unsupported, encrypted, image-only, damaged or oversized content may not be fully inspected. Uploaded authentication headers are claims, not independently verified proof of the sender.
5. Responsible use
Only submit material you are authorised to process. Consider other people's privacy and your employer's rules before uploading confidential content. You retain your rights in submitted material and permit us to process it to provide the requested service, as described in the Privacy Notice.
Do not use Jatzo to attack systems, gain unauthorised access, distribute harmful content, evade access controls or overwhelm the service. We may apply limits or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security incidents or breaches of these terms. Lawful security reports can be raised through Contact.
6. Accounts and access
You must be 13 or over to create an account for yourself, and 18 or over to buy a paid plan. Signing up asks you to confirm your age and to agree to these terms, and buying asks you to confirm you are 18 or over. We record which version of these terms and of the privacy notice you were shown, what you confirmed, and when. An organisation that adds its staff to a business workspace decides whom it adds.
Keep your sign-in credentials secure and report suspected compromise promptly. Account actions and course access are tied to your account. Do not share an account to bypass purchase or usage limits. Features may change and service interruptions may occur. Your legal rights are unaffected.
7. Plans, seats and what they cost
A plan is bought on the website. Before you commit, the purchase page shows the plan, the number of seats, how often you pay and the total you will be invoiced. Prices are the total you pay, with no VAT added.
A team plan is bought by the seat, and every seat is paid for whether or not somebody is sitting in it. Seats are priced in bands, in the way income tax works, so the seats above a band take its lower rate. That is why there is no single figure that one seat costs once you are past the first band. Above the largest published band the price is agreed with us rather than taken from the website.
You can pay monthly or yearly. A year costs ten months, so paying yearly is two months free, and it is paid at the start of the year rather than by instalments.
Prices can change. A change never alters a period you have already paid for: it applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you before that renewal.
8. Adding and removing seats
Adding seats takes effect straight away, because somebody who adds a colleague needs that colleague working today. You are invoiced for the days remaining in the current period, worked out as the difference between the price for the seats you had and the price for the seats you now have.
Removing seats takes effect at your next renewal. The seats you have already paid for stay until the period ends, and they are not refunded.
The number of seats can be changed once every 72 hours, so that each change settles before the next one is made.
9. Paying, renewing and what happens if a payment fails
Buying raises an invoice straight away, and the plan starts when that invoice is paid. Payments are taken by Stripe on its own payment page, and Jatzo never receives, holds or sees a card number. An invoice sent to a company on terms is due within 30 days of its date unless we have agreed something else in writing.
A subscription renews automatically at the same interval until you turn renewal off, which you can do at any time in Account. Turning renewal off never takes access away: the plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for and then moves to the Free plan.
If a payment fails, the account becomes read-only for 14 days. You keep signing in, and every case, report and piece of evidence you have saved stays where it is and stays readable. New checks are paused until the outstanding invoice is settled, and they start again as soon as it is. We warn you when that period starts and again as it runs out. If the invoice has not been settled by the end of it, the subscription ends and the account moves to the Free plan, under the history limits your account page describes.
We may also limit or suspend access where an account is used to abuse the service, or where these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
10. Invoices, credit notes and tax
Every purchase, renewal and seat change produces an invoice with a number from a single unbroken sequence. You can read and download each one from your account page.
An invoice is never edited once it has been issued. If something on it is wrong, we raise a credit note against it, and that is how a correction or a refund is recorded.
Invoices and credit notes are financial records, and we keep them for at least 6 years, including after an account is deleted. The Privacy Notice explains what stays on them and what is removed with the account.
The company is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged and none appears on an invoice. If that changes, invoices will show the tax and the rate, and we will tell you before it affects a renewal.
11. Cancelling, refunds and changing your mind
You can stop a subscription renewing at any time in Account, and you can stop using Jatzo at any time.
If you are a consumer, buying for yourself rather than for a business, you have 14 days from buying a subscription to change your mind. When you buy, checkout asks you to request that your plan starts as soon as its invoice is paid, and your first invoice records that you did, with the last day you can change your mind. If you cancel inside those 14 days we refund what you paid less a proportionate amount for the days you had the plan, and if you had not asked for it to start, we refund it in full. Ask through Contact, or reply to the email that says your plan has started; the refund is recorded as a credit note against the invoice. The training catalogue is different, because it is digital content supplied in one go, and section 12 sets out how.
Otherwise a period that has already started is not refunded, and removing seats does not produce a refund. None of that affects your rights if the service is faulty or not as described, which include repair, replacement or a refund. A refund or a payment dispute may pause the access it paid for while it is reviewed, without overriding those rights.
12. Training
Check allowances and history limits depend on your plan. Full training is included with Business Pro and Enterprise. Otherwise it requires separate access, and a plan below Business Pro does not include it. Free lesson previews do not unlock paid content. Courses teach safer choices; completion records are not accredited qualifications, professional certification or a guarantee that you will detect phishing.
The training catalogue is one payment, with no VAT to add, for one person, with access for as long as the account exists and new and updated lessons for twelve months. Access starts as soon as payment is confirmed. Before checkout you are asked to agree to that and to acknowledge that you then lose the 14-day right to cancel; checkout does not start without that agreement. Your rights if the training is faulty or not as described, including repair, replacement or a refund, are not affected. A refund or dispute may pause the associated course grant while it is reviewed, without overriding statutory rights.
Organisation deployments, support commitments beyond section 14 and bespoke business liability terms require a separate reviewed agreement. Planned business features are not included unless expressly offered in that agreement.
13. Deleting your account and history
You can delete individual saved cases, or clear the checks you made, from History. This does not restore used check allowance. You can permanently delete your account in Account by confirming your current password and typing DELETE. Account details, saved history, course access and progress, and other account-linked records are removed from the active service and cannot be recovered through Jatzo. Invoices and credit notes are kept, as section 10 says. Cases you made in a business workspace stay with the workspace. Download anything you need before proceeding: Download my data, in the same place, gives you a file of the records Jatzo holds about your account. A few are not in it, such as notes Jatzo support keeps, and the account page says which. The Privacy Notice explains the limited backup expiry and deletion-marker process, and copies outside our control. Deletion does not waive statutory rights or automatically request a refund from a payment provider.
14. Availability, support and changes to the service
We may make reasonable changes for security, maintenance and product development. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular response time or a particular detection rate, and a plan bought from the website carries no service level agreement. An organisation that needs one has to agree it with us in writing. Material changes affecting a paid service will be handled in accordance with these terms and applicable law. Do not rely on this service for emergency response.
Support is through Contact. Everything sent there is read. We do not promise a reply within a set time.
15. Branding and course materials
Jatzo branding, original course materials and software are made available for the uses authorised by the service or your licence. Do not remove branding or republish, resell or misrepresent the materials as your own except where permitted by law or written permission. Embedded branding identifies the source; it does not prevent copying or imply an exclusive legal right in every element. Nothing here limits rights you hold under applicable law.
16. Your information
Our Privacy Notice explains what this build processes and stores, and what it does not: Jatzo keeps findings, not the raw messages you check.
We are the controller of your account information. Where your organisation's staff submit messages through a business workspace, the content of those messages is your organisation's data and we process it on its instructions. A business customer can ask for our data processing agreement through Contact, and once signed it forms part of this agreement.
17. Liability and your legal rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. Your mandatory consumer rights, including applicable rights to reasonable care and skill and remedies for defective services or digital content, are unaffected.
Subject to those protections, Jatzo does not provide a guarantee against phishing, malware, account compromise, financial loss or data loss. We are not responsible for losses that are not legally attributable to our breach or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable where the law permits that limitation.
Where liability can lawfully be limited, our total liability for all claims connected with these terms and your use of Jatzo, whether in contract, in negligence or otherwise, is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose and one hundred pounds. Within that same limit we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, loss of goodwill or loss of anticipated savings, or for loss or corruption of data so far as the law allows that to be excluded. These terms do not impose a blanket waiver, a cap on anything the law protects, or a requirement to indemnify Jatzo for its own wrongdoing.
18. How long these terms last, and ending them
These terms start when you first create an account or use the service, and they continue until the account is closed or deleted. A paid plan runs for the period you have paid for and renews as section 9 describes.
We may end or suspend access where you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, where the law requires it, or where an invoice is still outstanding at the end of the read-only period in section 9. We may also pause a plan while a payment for it is disputed with your card issuer, and end it if the dispute is decided against us. If we end it we email you, and the email gives the day your saved cases are deleted.
You can end these terms by deleting your account. Ending them does not by itself refund a payment, cancel an external payment arrangement or delete the invoices we have to keep. The sections on liability, branding, your information and governing law continue to apply afterwards.
19. Complaints, governing law and where a claim is heard
If something has gone wrong, tell us through Contact and we will look at it. Complaints about how we handle personal information are dealt with under the Privacy Notice, which also explains your right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Do not include passwords or recovery codes in anything you send us.
These terms, and any dispute about them, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the part of the United Kingdom you live in, and you may bring proceedings there. No choice of law removes mandatory protections that apply to you.
20. General
We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. Where a change materially affects a paid plan we will tell you before it applies to you, and it applies from your next renewal rather than to a period you have paid for. Continuing to use Jatzo after a change means you accept it.
We may transfer our rights and obligations to another company, for example if the business is sold, and we will tell you if that happens. You may not transfer yours without our written agreement.
If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not lose it. These terms and the documents they refer to are the whole of the agreement between us about the service, and somebody who is not a party to them cannot enforce them. We are not responsible for a failure caused by something outside our reasonable control, and we will say so and say how long we expect it to last.
Notices to you go to the email address on your account. Notices to us go to contact@jatzo.co.uk, through Contact, or to our registered office.
Business workspaces
Business workspace records: cases checked inside a business workspace belong to that workspace. Its admin and moderators can see all of them, and members can open their own. Where an IT support company looks after the workspace, that company's engineers can see them too, subject lines included, because the workspace has engaged them to manage it; every day one of their people opens the workspace is recorded in the workspace's own activity log. Leaving the team or deleting your account removes your membership and personal details but does not delete business cases: your contributor reference is removed and those cases remain subject to the workspace retention limit. Shared usage charges remain with the subscription admin. Delete your own business cases first if appropriate. An admin must hand over or delete their workspace before deleting their account. Downloaded or emailed copies cannot be recalled.
Business admins and moderators must invite only authorised colleagues, explain this access to staff and use Jatzo in accordance with their organisation's privacy duties. Invitations expire after 7 days. Workspace history is retained for up to 90 days, subject to the shared plan cap. Removed members lose future workspace access. Previously downloaded reports remain outside Jatzo's control.
Business accounts and personal checks
An account that belongs to a business workspace is a business account. Every check it makes, on the website or in an inbox, is saved to the workspace, and it has no personal history or personal allowance while it is a member. Joining or creating a workspace deletes the checks already saved to that account, and Jatzo says so before you go ahead; to keep them, use a different email address for the team. For personal checks, use a separate account with a personal email address. Leaving or being removed from a workspace does not restore Free checks to that address.
