How to complain about how we handle your personal data
If you are unhappy with how Jatzo has used your personal data, please tell us. You do not need to be a customer, and you do not need an account: this includes somebody whose details were in an email one of our users checked.
How to reach us. Email contact@jatzo.co.uk, use the contact form and choose Security / Privacy, or write to Jatzo Ltd, Portland House, Belmont Business Park, Belmont, Durham, DH1 1TW.
What helps us. Tell us what happened, when, and what you would like us to do. If it is about your own account, the email address on it. Please do not send passwords, recovery codes or the content of private emails.
What happens next.
- We acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days of receiving it. The law allows us 30 days and we do not intend to use them.
- We look into it without undue delay. If we need more information from you, or need to confirm who you are before discussing an account, we will ask.
- We keep you informed while we look into it, and tell you if it will take longer than expected.
- We tell you the outcome, what we found, and what we have done or will do.
If a business uses Jatzo. Where your information reached Jatzo because a business's staff checked an email, that business decides how the information is used and is responsible for it under data protection law. We will pass your complaint to them and tell you we have done so, and we will help them answer it.
If you are still unhappy. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. The ICO generally expects you to have raised it with us first, which is why this procedure exists, but you do not have to wait for us before contacting them.
